  1. Wood for Table Frame and Legs (e.g., pine or hardwood)
    • 1x2s and 1x4s for the frame
    • 2x2s or 4x4s for the legs
  2. Two Glass or Acrylic Sheets (cut to size)
    • One will be the tabletop; the other acts as the infinity mirror base.
  3. LED Strip Lights (with a remote control or switch).
  4. One-Way Mirror Film (applied to one glass sheet).
  5. Screws, wood glue, and finishing nails.
  6. Sandpaper and wood finish (stain, paint, or polyurethane).
  7. Power adapter for the LED lights.

Tools:

  • Saw (table saw, circular saw, or miter saw).
  • Drill and screws.
  • Measuring tape and square.
  • Wood clamps.
  • Paintbrush or rags for staining.
  • Scissors or knife for cutting the mirror film.

Cut List

For the Table Frame:

  • Top Frame Rails: 4 pieces, 36″ (or adjust to your desired table length).
  • Side Frame Rails: 4 pieces, 18″.
  • Support Slats for Glass: 4 pieces, 34″ (adjust to fit the glass dimensions).

For the Legs:

  • Legs: 4 pieces, 16″ (or adjust for desired height).

Other Components:

  • Glass Support Ledges: 4 pieces, 1x1s cut to fit inside the frame (two long and two short).

Assembly Instructions

Step 1: Build the Frame

  1. Cut all the wood pieces to size according to the cut list.
  2. Assemble the top frame by attaching the top rails and side rails into a rectangular shape using wood glue and screws. Check for squareness.
  3. Repeat the process to create a second frame for the lower section of the table.

Step 2: Attach the Legs

  1. Secure the legs to the inside corners of the top frame using screws or brackets for added stability.
  2. Attach the lower frame to the legs approximately 4 inches from the bottom (or your preferred distance) to act as a support shelf.

Step 3: Install Glass Support Ledges

  1. Attach the 1×1 support ledges inside the top frame to hold the glass sheets. Ensure they are level and secured with screws.

Step 4: Prepare the Infinity Mirror

  1. Apply one-way mirror film to one of the glass sheets, ensuring there are no bubbles. This will be the “bottom” glass.
  2. Install the LED strip lights along the inner edge of the top frame, ensuring the lights face inward for even illumination.

Step 5: Assemble the Tabletop

  1. Place the “bottom” glass with the mirror film onto the support ledge.
  2. Lay the LED lights securely around the edge if not already in place.
  3. Place the second glass sheet (uncoated) on top to complete the infinity mirror effect.

Step 6: Finish the Table

  1. Sand the entire table to remove rough edges.
  2. Apply a stain or paint for the desired finish. Let it dry completely.
  3. Seal with polyurethane for durability.

Step 7: Add the Final Touch

  1. Connect the LED lights to the power adapter and test the infinity effect.
  2. Position your new coffee table in your living room and enjoy the mesmerizing optical illusion!

Tips for Success

  • Ensure all cuts are precise to achieve a seamless fit for the glass.
  • Apply even pressure when attaching the one-way mirror film to avoid wrinkles.
  • Use clamps during assembly to keep the frame steady and square.
